November
In sharing the meaning and changes of the Months, it is my hope that it plants seeds of awareness, that the calendar we currently live by is only a marking tool for mankind. It is not a true reflection of our planets natural calendar. Remember we are part of nature not apart from nature.
November word origin:
Middle English, Novembre
Latin, Novembris meaning ‘nineth month’
Although November is now the eleventh month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars. It was originally the nineth month in the old calendar of Romulus c. 750 BC. Until January and February were inserted into the calendar. Novembris originally had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, then until Julius when it became 30 days long.
In the southern hemisphere the beginning of November marks BELTAINE, the last of the Spring celebrations and the first SUMMER celebration. Summer and Winter are the peaks of the seasons with Autumn and Spring the transitional seasons.
The tilt of the earth orbiting the sun dictates the seasons and daylight and nightlight hours. The solstices are the PEAK and occur MID SEASON and the Equinoxes are the BALANCING POINTS BETWEEN.
The beginning of the seasons are measured at the midway points between the Solstices and Equinoxes and Equinoxes and Solstices.
So 1st November is the beginning of Summer with the Summer Solstice occurring around 21st December, signally then that the sun is at his highest and thus the turning point back towards Winter Solstice. Image: http://www.crystalinks.com/eclipse.html
Welcome to November 2023
I have noticed through the internet and listening to people, groups etc that more and more people are becoming aware of ‘life’ and what that may actually entail and mean.
This whole world is made up of over 8 billion people all who have a unique, individualised perspective of their world around them according to their family, surroundings, community, knowledge, circumstance, beliefs, inner wiring and soul purpose. Not one person is wrong and not one person is right. It is just who and how they are and perceive ‘the world’.
The one thing though that is common to all is ‘love’, and even this one emotion, state of being, universal truth, has so many different definitions and experiences.
And I feel that for many a century, if not thousands of years, our minds have become clouded, and for some very thickly shrouded, in fear. This too is universal. And so, the calling has gone out to begin this clearing process of fear, back to the state of ‘love’.
For me, it is the process of coming home to me, you and love.
What is love to you?

You may be experiencing a deepening spiritual connection and a strong sense of oneness with everything and everyone. You may even feel as if an unseen force that is in tune with your deepest life purpose is guiding you. Having a sense of being in the right place at the right time and are able to trust that you will be given exactly what you need.
You may also be wanting to acquire greater self-knowledge and expand your understanding of the world.
Introduction: The World can often signify that you are figuratively feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders, which is not an easy place to be. It's an excellent time to review how well you do at asking for help when you need it.
General: This can often be a card of completion. You've worked hard, and you are almost to the finish line in some way so don't quit now when you are so close! You are getting closer to who you really are at your deepest levels.
Work: You may find it beneficial to look outside your own country for helpful information in how the work you do is done elsewhere and this could lead to some very interesting realisations. Remember that just because something has always been done a certain way doesn't mean that it has been done in the best way.
Love: If you travel during this time and you are in the market for a relationship, you may well meet someone while you are away. This will be true even if the travel is only locally and not very far away. Don't be afraid to mingle or talk to strangers. Conversely, if you have been in a committed long-term relationship for some time, you are likely to find it rising to new and better heights.
Finances: If money has been a bit stagnant for you then the appearance of The World is a good sign and that this blockage will soon clear and you'll find yourself flush once again. There is a caveat though and this is it: When money does improve make sure you don't go mad with spending. It is important that you have understood the lesson and begin saving and protecting yourself so that if hard times come again you will be better prepared.
Health: Your health should be on the upswing. You may be helped by finding a healer who works with something besides traditional Western medicine. Don't view this as an attempt to replace medical therapy because it isn't. Rather it is to work in concert with it.
Spirituality: You are likely to have several clear flashes of important spiritual insights during this time. Keep a notebook handy and record these. thoughts. Although insight will often be given through dreams it is just as likely to appear when you are wide awake. Share and discuss your thoughts with others whether that be with close friends or family or simply online. We are all on a spiritual journey and not everyone will have had your epiphany so your insights are likely to prove valuable for others.

Red Back Spider - November Spirit Animal
The key word for Red-Back Spider is Surrender.
Red-back spider usually comes across as a female energy, and tends to teach about worshipping the female principle. It can involve focusing on femininity, what it is to be a strong woman, and how to respect that within, or within others.
There is a lesson of surrender with red-back spider. Red-back spider teaches us to surrender to something that is greater than ourselves. This may be the idea of the Goddess for some. Or it may be the idea of surrendering to an inevitable challenge that we are struggling against, or struggling to deny.
Some people feel that surrendering is a sign of weakness, but red-back spider, like many spiders, teaches that surrendering to the inevitable is a sign of humility, understanding and wisdom.
Spider is the weaver of the web of life, and associated with fate and those struggles and changes that are coming whether we like it or not. Spider asks us that we do not face such struggles with denial or stubbornness, but that we walk forward instead and surrender ourselves to what is coming. Such a surrender of itself can be a profound offering to the greater powers and energies around us, but more-so, a profound offering to ourselves. Surrendering is another form of acceptance, one that some people forget to embrace with grace and dignity.
There is a sense of giving yourself away with red-back energy in particular. Red-back spider males have evolved to literally give their lives away, for the chance to procreate. For us, giving ourselves away may come in the form of giving up a great deal of our time or energy for a loved one.. It may involve simply committing more time to a project that is already consuming a lot of your time. The presence of any red-back spider (or any spider for that matter), lets us know that such a sacrifice is not needless nor given in vain.
There is an emphasis with red-back spider on themes of theft and stealing. Watch out for behaviours that involve you taking anothers nourishment or energy away for them, in turn, keep an eye out for people in your community who are doing the same to you. There is natural give and take when it comes to energy, but at this time, beware of an unhealthy level of give and take.

The Shadow Aspects:
Redback spider comes into your life to ask you to ‘give it up.’ It’s time to surrender. Whether this is a literal surrender to something someone has been asking you to do for some time, or a spiritual surrender to a god, or an emotional surrender to feelings you’ve been denying, is regardless. What is important here is the actual act of surrender itself. Redback spider will continue to come into your life as a shadow aspect until this is confronted and you ‘let go’ of something important to you, in order to gain something far more valuable. While redback spider teaches this in general, this lesson may be a particular challenge for you.
