It's In The Synapse

Like most people I have a story. Abuse, trauma and the like. And the healing journey is an adventure you can never really prepare for. It’s when you get to the point that you've had enough with that story, you know that is not all there is and so off you start on your healing journey.

The current status of society is very disconcerting to say the least. And this passage that humanity is going through is like a rite of passage. The current energies are asking us to change if we expect society to change. And I have felt a pull to dig deeper these past 18 months then ever before. I released the pent up rage and now loving the bone deep grief.

I have been working on changing certain thought patterns. I have been purposely rewording and rephrasing beliefs and inner language. Letting go and accepting reality from illusion. Deliberately choosing where my focus was going. What I wasn’t prepared for was how long this can actually take, years in some cases! And the length is equivalent to the depth of the change and healing. What I did notice along the way was though, the longer I persevered the more I noticed the change was happening. Still, it felt like something wasn’t shifting completely.

Now I don’t usually remember my dreams, but last night was a night of wind storms and dreams for me. The wind was so loud and strong it woke me up. So I laid in bed listening and questioning... when I had a vision and a message.

I had a vision of the gap between receptors, a bit like this picture below but more white, yellow, orange, red in colour on a black background, like sparks going off between the receptors.

Then the message was ‘It’s in the synapse’.

Then I could see that this is where the magic lays, and in this vision I was shown/told that this is where I was not present, nor was spirit, and that that was the shift I needed.

I had to embody more of my essence and source into the synapses in my body. So I turned my energy and inner focus into those spaces and filled up the gaps with my intent. When I saw the sparks go off between the receptors my physical body felt a shift.

Then I realised that is where spirit, through the mental and then biological process, manifests in the physical dimension. Where the unreal becomes real. Where it goes from a thought into the physical body therefore into our physical lives. The energy in the synapses! It is in how the gap is intentionally purposed from the conscious or sub-conscious commands. How we carry our souls into our physical bodies when we lead with the heart. And there I was lacking. Through that awareness in the vision and the guidance to fill up those gaps, my physical body has shifted, my thoughts are more focused and emotions balanced. And the dreams after that vision were powerful enough for me to remember and innerstand their meanings.

So in your meditations or self-reflection time, dive in deep into your imagination and your inner body at a cellular level. Picture/imagine the minute gap between receptors and infuse it with your energy and love energy from source. Know that it is you in that body, no-one else, YOU. Know that no one else is thinking those thoughts, transmitting those signals flowing through your neural pathways, carrying that energy all around your body but YOU. Also know that through a promise to yourself of the change you wish make, then practice the change in your everyday physical life and persevere when you feel like giving up, you will heal and initiate change. It just takes time.

Blessings, Mim

synapse definition:

noun - a junction between two nerve cells, consisting of a minute gap across which impulses pass by diffusion of a neurotransmitter.

What is synapse and its function?

Neurons communicate with one another at junctions called synapses. At a synapse, one neuron sends a message to a target neuron—another cell. Most synapses are chemical; these synapses communicate using chemical messengers. Other synapses are electrical; in these synapses, ions flow directly between cells.

In the nervous system, a synapse[1] is a structure that permits a neuron (or nerve cell) to pass an electrical or chemical signal to another neuron or to the target effector cell.

Synapses are essential to the transmission of nervous impulses from one neuron to another. Neurons are specialized to pass signals to individual target cells, and synapses are the means by which they do so. At a synapse, the plasma membrane of the signal-passing neuron (the presynaptic neuron) comes into close apposition with the membrane of the target (postsynaptic) cell

Role in memory

Main article: Hebbian theory

It is widely accepted that the synapse plays a role in the formation of memory. As neurotransmitters activate receptors across the synaptic cleft, the connection between the two neurons is strengthened when both neurons are active at the same time, as a result of the receptor's signaling mechanisms. The strength of two connected neural pathways is thought to result in the storage of information, resulting in memory. This process of synaptic strengthening is known as long-term potentiation.
